AIRBRUSH TAN PRE & POST CARE

When it comes to spray tans, there are a few rules to follow if you want to keep that radiant glow alive. Please read over Always Bikini Seasons Pre Care to ensure you are prepared for your scheduled Custom Airbrush Tan.

-Avoid any products with mineral and coconut oil, alcohols, even heavy essential oils. This includes any cream/oil base body washes or body washes with high fragrance. DO NOT USE DOVE SOAP. DO NOT USE DOVE SOAP. I repeat DO NOT USE DOVE SOAP.
---If you do use body washes such as Dove, Olay, Bath & Body Works, or even any high fragranced products, note that these products can cause streaks, cracks, patches, even absorption issues. Please allow at least 2-3 showers without them and use spray tan friendly products before your scheduled appointment. Click here to view recommended products.

-Exfoliate a day or two before and avoid exfoliation with anything that has oil in it. (Recommendation; Dry-brush, exfoliation gloves, natural loofah, wash cloth.)

-If waxing you will need to wax at least 24 hours before spraying. Always Bikini Season offers wax services. Please schedule accordingly.

-If shaving, shave at least 48 hours before spraying. Do NOT shave the day before or day of. Shaving cream and/or moisture strips on razors will cause absorption issues making your tan lighter. In addition, the solution will collect in your pores creating a "speckle effect."

-If receiving Botox or Fillers, you will need to wait 48-72 hours to spray. When spraying over the injection site it can cause irritation and/or a splotchy finish. Or avoid spraying your face.

-If receiving any Lash or Brow Service, you will want to schedule that at least 24 hours before your spray. Or avoid spraying your face.

-Schedule nail appointments a day or two before your spray.

-If you are getting your hair done, Always Bikini Seasons suggest to do it a few days before a tan.

-If you are receiving a massage, it is best to schedule that service at least 72 hours before.

-If you are experiencing active acne, Always Bikini Season will not spray your face.

​​DAY OF: 
Shower at least 4 hours before. This will allow your skins pH to balance back out properly. If showering too close to your appointment, may interfere with the development process. Avoid washing hair with shampoo and conditioner during this shower. Do NOT come to appointment with wet hair. Your appointment will be automatically rescheduled and you will be subjected to pay a rescheduling/cancellation fee.

-Do not wear lotions, makeup, deodorant. Any leftover deodorant will turn your underarm green. Avoid applying anything on the skin, this can interfere with the absorption process, causing your tan to be patchy, light, and fade much quicker. 

-Wear loose/dark clothing to your appointment. Pretend you're going to a pajama party.

-If you have leather seats in your car, please bring a towel to sit on. Leather will rub off the solution while developing. This also includes leather straps of a purse and sandals. ​

-Keep an umbrella around, just in case it is raining. Rain and Tans do not mix. Understanding weather is out of anyones control; If it is raining and you would like to reschedule, please note you will need to reach out directly or online to reschedule/cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid any fees.
